‘The Flash’ Movie Finally Gets A New Release Date of July 1st, 2022 – Likely To Begin Shooting In 2021

Warner Bros. has also finally given their DC Comics film The Flash a new release date of July 1st, 2022 after multiple hiccups including losing a stream of directors/writers.

Ezra Miller is still attached to play Barry Allen after playing the role in Justice League along with cameos in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad.

The standalone superhero film will be directed by IT and IT: Chapter Two’s Andy Muschietti with a new script penned by Birds of Prey and Batgirl screenwriter Christina Hodson.

Andy also announced over the summer he was going to direct a post-apocalyptic film titled Electric State penned by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the pair of writers were behind Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame along with the three Captain America movies.

Flash is expected to shoot at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford, England and would likely begin shooting in the first quarter of 2021.

James Gun’s The Suicide Squad currently filming in Atlanta.

The Batman and Black Adam are set begin production in the first half of 2020.

  • Birds of Prey – February 7th, 2020
  • Wonder Woman 1984 – June 5th, 2020
  • The Batman – June 25th, 2021
  • The Suicide Squad – August 6th, 2021
  • Black Adam – December 22nd, 2021

Other films in various stages of development include Batgirl, Supergirl, and New Gods.
