Legendary Entertainment’s feature film adaption of the Nancy Springer novels Enola Holmes has added Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) in the role of Sherlock Holmes according to TheHollywoodReporter. Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown plays Enola Holmes, the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft.
Helena Bonham Carter (The King’s Speech, Harry Potter films) is also taking the role of Enola’s mother.
Cavill has joined Millie Bobby Brown to star in Enola Holmes, Legendary’s adventure project based on the Enola Holmes Mysteries book series by Nancy Springer.
Harry Bradbeer is directing the project that also has Helena Bonham Carter on the call sheet.
Cavill was recently seen in Mission: Impossible – Fallout and has been shooting the Netflix fantasy series The Witcher. Millie Bobby Brown has also worked with Legendary on Godzilla: King of The Monsters and the upcoming release Godzilla vs Kong.
It will be directed by Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag) with a script from Jack Throne (His Dark Materials).
A release date for Enola Holmes has yet to be made official, but will likely be released sometime in 2020.
