‘Catch-22’ Cinematographer Martin Ruhe Confirmed For George Clooney’s Sci-Fi Flick ‘Good Morning, Midnight’

We have a brief update from a tidbit HN Entertainment ran back in July, where we suggested that cinematographer Martin Ruhe was possibly the director of photography on George Clooney’s science fiction film Good Morning, Midnight.

A scientist, alone in the Arctic, tries to make contact with a spacecraft returning to Earth.

HN has now been able to confirm that Martin is indeed working on the Netflix film.

Ruhe’s fantastic work includes the Joy Division biopic Control, George Clooney’s The American, Page Eight, Run All Night, and Ewan McGregor’s American Pastoral.

He also recently worked with Clooney on the WWII series Catch-22.

The film’s cast includes Clooney, Felicity Jones (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Kyle Chandler (Godzilla: King of The Monsters, Catch-22), and David Oyelowo (The Cloverfield Paradox, Rise of The Planet of The Apes, Interstellar).

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Monuments Men production designer Jim Bissell is said to be working on the film as well.

Good Morning, Midnight is expected to shoot October to February at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England. With filming set to begin on October 21st and will complete in early February.

Netflix has yet to give the movie an official release date, but sometime in late 2020 or early 2021 would make sense.
