Casting Breakdown May Have Revealed Netflix Is Already Planning Season 5 of ‘Stranger Things’

A casting breakdown for Season 4 of Stranger Things posted by Charles Murphy may have just revealed Netflix’s plans to move forward with the fifth season of the science fiction series.

The character for Season 4 is referred to as “Ashe” (likely nod to the original Alien’s android doctor Ash played by Ian Holm) is mentioned to have an arc that won’t be resolved until Season 5 and the actor’s deal would be for two seasons.

The confirmation comes by way of a description of a key new character set to join the series in Season 4. Season 4 will introduce a new series regular, “Ashe.”

The studio is searching for a mid-20s American male of any ethnicity to play the role which comes with a 2 season deal, meaning the character’s arc, described as integral to the new season, will not be resolved until Season 5!

It would be quite interesting if Season 5 was indeed the final season for the series. Planning this advanced wouldn’t be shocking if the Duffer Brothers were indeed poised to have Season 4 and Season 5 connect before ending Stranger Things.

Young stars Millie Bobby Brown (Godzilla: King of The Monsters, Godzilla vs Kong) and Finn Wolfhard (Ghostbusters, IT, IT: Chapter Two) are also trying to etch-out film careers, so I would imagine ending the series would allow them more time in their schedules to make movies on a regular basis.

I guess we’ll have to wait for some official confirmation from Netflix as they have yet to make a Season 5 of Stranger Things known to the public.

Hawkins, Indiana, 1983. A young boy, Will Byers, goes missing near a top-secret government laboratory. … As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.
