‘Creed 3’ Moving Forward At MGM With Screenwriter Zach Baylin Penning Script

MGM is officially moving forward with a third Creed movie.

TheHollywoodReporter has learned that King Richard screenwriter Zach Baylin has been hired to pen the script for Creed 3, which will see Michael B. Jordan reprise the role of boxer Adonis.

Plot details about the third film and who will direct the project is currently unknown.

MGM has yet to give Creed 3 a release date as well, which isn’t surprising given it just started the development stage.

The original Creed helped launch director Ryan Coolger’s blockbuster career placing him on Marvel’s radar to make the billion-dollar hit Black Panther.

In 1985, Russian boxer Ivan Drago killed former U.S. champion Apollo Creed in a tragic match that stunned the world. Against the wishes of trainer Rocky Balboa, Apollo’s son Adonis Johnson accepts a challenge from Drago’s son — another dangerous fighter. Under guidance from Rocky, Adonis trains for the showdown of his life — a date with destiny that soon becomes his obsession. Now, Johnson and Balboa must confront their shared legacy as the past comes back to haunt each man.
