Lionsgate should be extremely happy as John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum added another $3.1 million as it earns an impressive $303.6 million worldwide. The third installment has now made more money at the box office than the first two movies combined.
Lionsgate has already set the release date for John Wick: Chapter 4 on May 21st, 2021.
Sadly, a lot of Marvel fans had convinced themselves that the studio’s “re-release” (the film never left theaters just got a theater count bump) of Avengers: Endgame would beat Avatar’s global take.
However, the truth of the matter is that there wasn’t a lot of interest from the general audience as the film only made $5.5 million domestically and internationally was even weaker earning about $2.3 million. It’s currently $30 million shy of the record.
Ahead of its domestic release on Tuesday, Spider-Man: Far From Home has already earned an impressive $111 million overseas.
