Matt Reeves Announces At CCXP 2019 That ‘The Batman’ Will Be Coming To CCXP

Warner Bros. has kicked-off their big presentation at CCXP 2019 in Brazil, the convention has double the attendees of San Diego Comic-Con.

Writer/director Matt Reeves revealed in a video message at CCXP 2019 during the Warner Bros. presentation that they’ll be attending CCXP 2020 to promote The Batman, possibly showing off footage or a teaser trailer.

Brazilian outlet Omelete posted the video on their Twitter account and you can watch it below.

It makes sense they’d attend in 2020 given that with summer 2021 release date they couldn’t promote in 2021.

Batman’s impressive cast that includes Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton aka The Riddler, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.

Serkis will be directing Venom 2 at the same time in England.

Peter Sarsgaard (Jarhead, Green Lantern) and Jayme Lawson have undisclosed roles as well.

We have to assume that Warner Bros. will spend the money to fly out cast members to the event as well.

Filming will begin next year at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford, England.

Warner Bros. has set the release date of The Batman for a prime summer slot on June 25th, 2021.
