HN Entertainment has learned that 2nd unit director Damon Caro has joined the production team on Zack Snyder’s zombie heist film Army of The Dead for Netflix, there is also an expectation given his longtime work on Snyder’s films as a stunt coordinator will take upon that role as well.
Caro’s stunt coordinator and 2nd unit resume include Watchmen, Wonder Woman Man of Steel, Justice League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Sucker Punch.
Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.
Currently, the only attached cast member is Guardians of The Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity War actor Dave Bautista as previously reported by Deadline.
Other members of the production team are expected to include costume designer Stephanie Portnoy Porter (Top Gun: Maverick, Batman v Supand production designer Julie Berghoff (The Handmaid’s Tale, The Conjuring 2).

This will be the first time Zack Snyder has tackled the horror genre since his 2004 film Dawn of The Dead with a script by James Gunn.
Filming is expected to take place over this summer in New Mexico.
Netflix has yet to give Army of The Dead an official release date.
