It was recently announced that director Zack Snyder would be returning to the world of horror with the Netflix film titled Army of The Dead, which is reportedly aiming to begin filming this summer.
The adventure is set amid a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, during which a man assembles a group of mercenaries to take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantined zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.
Some new possible production news comes from ProductionWeekly via PursueNews, as they suggest that Netflix and Zack Snyder are currently scouting locations in Vegas, Los Angeles, and New Mexico.
Now a new update comes from Production Weekly’s recent listing which reportedly reveals that Army of the Dead is currently scouting for locations in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New Mexico.
The latter two seemingly are being looked at for the tax incentives those locations offer.
TheTampaBayTimes seemingly revealed recently that Avengers actor Dave Bautista (Dune, Guardians of The Galaxy, Spectre) was possibly taking a role in Zack Snyder’s next project, which alludes that means Army.
It’ll be interesting to see if Zack can recapture the awesomeness of his 2004 film Dawn of The Dead, on a larger scale.
Netflix has yet to announce a release date for Army of The Dead.
