Man of Steel and Batman V. Superman director, Zack Snyder, was originally attached to helm the theatrical version of Justice League. However, due to unforeseen events, Snyder had to step away from the project which resulted in Joss Whedon (Avengers) replacing him as director. While Warner Bros. claimed the final cut shown to fans was “Snyder’s vision,” actors, crew members, and even Snyder himself have since refuted these claims. This resulted in the social media movement known as #ReleaseTheSnyderCut from fans wishing to see the original vision Snyder had, which had a run-time of 214 minutes!
Using the social media platform Vero, Snyder
revealed confirmed the existence of Superman (Henry Cavill) in his infamous black suit variation. Presumably this would have been after Superman is resurrected, and Snyder teases the studio potentially edited the suit colors to the regular blue, red, and yellow in certain scenes to eliminate any trace of Snyder’s original direction for a resurrected Superman.
