‘Wonder Woman’ Director Patty Jenkins Lands Three-Year TV Deal With Netflix Worth $10M

On the heels of Netflix signing Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss to the tune of $200 million, the streaming service has wooed yet another big name in the pop culture arena.

TheHollywoodReporter has learned that Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins has inked an overall television deal with Netflix for three years and is said to be worth $10 million.

The Wonder Woman director and I Am the Night executive producer has inked an overall TV deal with the streaming giant. Sources say the three-year deal is worth a total of $10 million.

Under the pact, Jenkins will create, develop and produce new series exclusively for Netflix.

It’s a huge win for Patty as she looks to expand her producing skills in the realm of television and it remains to be seen the kinds of programming that she’ll be bringing to Netflix but thrillers/dramas might be something to expect.

There is a good chance that actor Chris Pine could get involved with whatever series Patty ends up developing given his role in her series I Am The Night.

Her latest movie Wonder Woman 1984 is set to be released next summer on June 4th, 2020. We’re still waiting on a teaser trailer for that one considering it was originally supposed to come out this November.
