Fox Searchlight has announced via Fandango that they’ll be distributing Wes Anderson’s next feature film titled The French Dispatch sometime in 2020.
A love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American newspaper in 20th-century Paris and centers on three storylines.
The impressive and rather large cast includes Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Benicio Del Toro, Jeffrey Wright, Timothee Chalamet, Saorise Ronan, Adrien Brody, Lea Seydoux, Mathieu Amalric, Henry Winkler, Fisher Stevens, Jason Schwartzman, Willem Dafoe, Rupert Friend, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz, Lyna Khoudri, Stephen Park, Owen Wilson, Alex Lawther, and Elisabeth Moss.

Filming previously took place in Angoulême, France.
Disney took over control of Fox Searchlight back in mid-March when the Disney/Fox merger closed. Next month the studio will be releasing Taika Waititi’s anti-hate satire Jojo Rabbit and is expected to keep releasing quirky releases that are aimed for the festival/award crowds.
We’ll certainly update once we get an official release date and trailer.
