WB’s Dystopian Thriller ‘Reminiscence’ Starring Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson Rounds Out Cast

Deadline reports that Warner Bros. has secured a bulk of the supporting cast for Lisa Joy’s directorial debut Reminiscence that will star Hugh Jackman (Logan, Prisoners) and Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Fallout) in the lead roles.

A scientist discovers a way to relive your past and uses the technology to search for his long lost love. A mind-bending noir love story set in the dystopic near future of a night time, superheated flooded global warmed Miami.

The new additions to the cast are Cliff Curtis (Training Day, Avatar sequels, Hobbs and Shaw), Angela Sarafyan (Westworld), Marina de Tavira (Roma), Natalie Martinez (Battle At Big Rock, End of Watch), and Daniel Wu (Tomb Raider).

Westworld’s Tandie Newton (Solo: A Star Wars Story, RocknRolla) had been previously announced.

Filming will be taking place this fall in New Orleans, Louisiana under the working title Jade Earring with production set to start on October 28th and will wrap on January 24th.

However, given the Miami setting I expect they’ll eventually want to shoot there as well.

Lisa Joy is best known for co-creating HBO’s Westworld alongside Jonathan Nolan but had also at one time penned a Spider-Man spinoff for Sony Pictures focused around Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat.

Rebecca Ferguson is expected to shoot both Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8 next year in England.

Warner Bros. has yet to give Reminiscence an official release date.
