Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman starring Robert De Niro has hitman Frank Sheeran.
Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci star in Martin Scorsese’s THE IRISHMAN, an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th Century. Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.
Al Pacino plays infamous Union leader Jimmy Hoffa and Joe Pesci plays mobster Russell Bufalino.
The rest of the cast includes Harvey Keitel, Anna Paquin, Stephen Graham, Bobby Cannavale, Jesse Plemons, Jack Huston, Paul Ben-Victor, Domenick Lombardozzi, and Ray Romano.
Variety recently reported that the film’s budget is now in the range of $160 million, making it one of their most expensive projects.
The Irishman will debut at the New York Film Festival on September 27th and will later be released in theaters along with unknown drop date on Netflix.
