The Cannes Film Festival was certainly buzzing about Robert Eggers’ follow-up to the stunning horror film The Witch, The Lighthouse starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe.
Well, A24 has released the very first teaser trailer for the thriller which is expected to incorporate maritime folklore.
From Robert Eggers, the visionary filmmaker behind the modern horror masterpiece The Witch, comes this hypnotic and hallucinatory tale of two lighthouse keepers on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s.
Pattinson has kicked-off a return to studio blockbusters as he currently shooting Christopher Nolan’s spy flick Tenet for Warner Bros. and will play Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves’ The Batman next year.
A24 has set the official release date for The Lighthouse on October 18th.
