Disney/Marvel Studios have dropped a new special look (not an official second trailer) for their upcoming film Black Widow directed by Cate Shortland, which focuses mostly on the action side of the film that includes a bridge scene between Taskmaster and Natasha.

The new footage also seemingly confirms that O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) is potentially indeed Anthony Masters aka Taskmaster, as he has a massive credit but still hasn’t made an official appearance in any of the footage for the Marvel flick.

There had been some speculation that Rachel Weisz’s character could be Taskmaster, but that seems to have been put to rest as she is also wearing a white version of the Widow costume during the end action sequence.

You can watch the special look below.

Also interesting are the credits for the film include Godzilla vs Kong screenwriter Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Agent Carter) landing solo screenplay credit on the film, bouncing both Jac Schaffer (WandaVision, Captain Marvel) and Ned Benson to simply story credit.

Not to mention French composer Alexandre Desplat has been announced as well. His film credits include The French Dispatch, Little Women, The Shape of Water, Godzilla, The Imitation Game, Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

William Hurt seemingly has an equal credit with Ray Winstone (finally confirmed for the film) as well, I guess we’ll have to wait and see how both factor in. We do know that Hurt had shot some footage for the film during production in Atlanta, however, the role might be slightly more extensive than previously thought.

Scarlett Johansson and co-star Florence Pugh (Little Women, Midsommar) will be going head-to-head at the Oscars next month for the Best Supporting Actress award as the two landed nominations yesterday from The Academy.

Black Widow is set to be released on May 1st and will be the first installment the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4.
