While Jurassic World fans will have to wait until the summer of 2021 for a new feature installment, Universal has decided to release a new in-universe short film called Battle At Big Rock.
The film was written and directed by Colin Trevorrow with Jurassic World 3 scribe Emily Carmichael, and it also features cinematography from the great Larry Fong. Per the official synopsis, it picks up a year after the events of Fallen Kingdom, showcasing the effects of dinosaurs roaming freely in our world. That provides a family of four on vacation, a terrifying fight for survival as they watch two titans fight at Big Rock National Park.
FX exclusively debuted the short right after the premiere of the original Jurassic World tonight, but it is free to watch online now. Be sure to stay through the credits for a tease at what’s to come in the next movie.
