Another nifty tidbit from Kevin Feige in his podcast interview with TheHollywoodReporter revealing that he’s visited the sets of both The Falcon & The Winter Soldier and WandaVision, this being the official confirmation that the latter has begun filming.
FEIGE: “Falcon & Winter Soldier is currently shooting and I just yesterday got back from the set of WandaVision, which is shooting.”
Kevin over the summer said that WandaVision will lead directly into Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness and most recently said that the Loki series led by Tom Hiddleston connects as well.
Elizabeth will be reprising the role of Wanda in the Doctor Strange sequel and could be much larger in scope than the first installment. Filming is expected to begin next year at Pinewood Studios UK, where Black Widow and Eternals have recently been shooting this year.
Matt Shakman (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) will be directing the series.
The cast consists of Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda aka Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, newcomer Teyonah Parris is playing as an adult version of Monica Rambeau aka Captain Marvel/Spectrum, Kat Dennings as Darcy and Kathryn Hahn (Step Brothers, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse) is playing the couple’s nosey neighbor.
A rumor from MCUCosmic pointed to Wanda and Vision’s children Wiccan and Speed appearing in the series, who just happen to be members of the Young Avengers.
WandaVision will begin airing on Disney+ sometime in the spring of 2021.
