Despite a handful of hiccups at the box office this summer, 20th Century Fox has a couple more releases of projects that were made pre-merger.
The studio has dropped the very first trailer for their science fiction thriller Underwater starring Kristen Stewart (Panic Room, Charlie’s Angels), T.J. Miller (Deadpool, Silicon Valley), Vincent Cassel (Jason Bourne, Ocean’s Twelve), John Gallagher Jr. (10 Cloverfield Lane), and Jessica Henwick (Godzilla vs Kong, Star Wars: The Force Awakens).
UNDERWATER is a film that follows a crew of underwater researchers who must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory.
I’ve seen a lot of people make the comparison to movies like Alien and Aybss, but to me, this clearly looks like it was inspired by Peter Weller’s Alien knock-off Leviathan.
Other Fox movies coming out include James Mangold’s Ford v Ferrari, Brad Pitt’s Ad Astra, and the animated flick Spies In Disguise.
Underwater has been set for release on January 10th, 2020.
