Another day another addition to the cast of The Mandalorian is being reported.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that character actor Timothy Olyphant has taken a role in the upcoming second season of The Mandalorian, meaning he’s already shot his scenes as the show wrapped-up back in March.
Timothy is likely best known for his series Justified playing a U.S. Marshall from the pages of a handful of Elmore Leonard books (author of Out of Sight, Rum Punch, and Get Shorty). He’s also shown up in films like Live Free or Die Hard and had a small role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
The actor most recently was part of the enable cast of the latest season of FX’s Fargo led by Chris Rock.
He’ll be joining a group of new additions to the series that includes Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Katee Sackoff as Bo-Katan, Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett, and Michael Biehn as an unnamed bounty hunter.
Disney is adamant that The Mandalorian’s second season will begin airing sometime in October on Disney+, their new streaming service that recently launched in UK/Europe.
