Yesterday, it was first revealed at TheStarWarsShow that the Sith Trooper is real and will be appearing in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Images from the Hot Toys figure was also released as well from the official Star Wars website.
This would confirm a previous rumor from MakingStarWars a special unit of Sith Stormtroopers would be wearing red armor. It’ll be interesting to see if they’ll ultimately be directly under the command of Kylo Ren in the upcoming installment and how many we’ll ultimately get to see in action.
The red armor seems to be influenced by the Imperial Knights from the Legacy comic books published by Dark Horse Comics and the Elite Praetorian Guard from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
The surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more as Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron’s journey continues. With the power and knowledge of generations behind them, the final battle commences.
J.J. Abrams returns as director with a cast that consists of Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Kerri Russell, Richard E. Grant, Domhnall Gleeson, Billie Lourd, Billy Dee Williams, Naomi Ackie, Kelly Marie Tran, Dominic Monaghan, Mark Hamill, Ian McDiarmid, and the final scenes with Carrie Fisher as General Leia.
There is a good chance we’ll be getting a new trailer next month when Disney promotes the film at D23 Expo 2019.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set for release on December 20th.
