While the main cinematographer on Wes Anderson’s latest live-action feature film The French Dispatch was Robert Yeoman, there was some secondary work from fellow cinematographer Tristan Oliver. 

He worked on the model and animation unit as mentioned on his website

You can see in the first trailer they used elements of models, animation, and miniatures for the film, we’ve seen Wes use similar techniques previously with The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Life Aquatic. 

Oliver previously worked with Anderson on his stop-motion animation films Fantastic Mr. Fox and Isle of Dogs as the director of photography both of which were nominated for Best Animated Feature Film Oscars. 

Disney and Searchlight Pictures have given the film a prime summer release date of July 24th.
