It’s now official!
The Marvel Studios series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has finally begun filming in Atlanta, Georgia.
Showrunner/writer Malcolm Spellman made the announcement today on his official Instagram account celebrating Day 1 of filming. Also, mentioning Marvel’s script no pictures policy.
So his images seemingly are off-set of the chairs with a patch featuring the series logo.
SPELLMAN: “Day 1 Craaazy to see it come to life. Marvel ain’t allowing photos from set right now but this a huge day for a lot of people including me.”
The series directed by Kari Skogland will star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon/Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, Daniel Bruhl as Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker aka U.S. Agent.
We’ll finally see Sam suit-up as Captain America and could likely mean he’ll eventually take the lead in Captain America 4.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will begin airing on Disney+ starting next fall.
