A new production rumbling from our friends at DiscussingFilm suggests that The Eternals, directed by Chloe Zhao, might be getting bumped-up a full month to August (from its previous start month of September) and its filming location could also be Atlanta, Georgia.
The Eternals is set millions of years ago when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans, creating the super-powered individuals as well as more villainous off-shoots known as Deviants. The two groups went on to battle each other throughout history to see which would eventually become the ultimate race. The story involves the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans.

Atlanta is a regular filming location for Marvel Studios, as they recently used it for productions such as Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man & The Wasp, and Avengers: Endgame.
Based on the Jack Kirby characters the screenplay will be handled by screenwriting brothers Matthew and Ryan Firpo.
Other Phase 4 films expected to be going into production in the next couple of months/years include Black Widow, Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2, and Shang-Chi. The latter giving audiences Marvel’s first Asian-led superhero film franchise.
The Eternals is expected to be released on November 6th, 2020, but it hasn’t been given an official spot from Marvel Studios. Although that is one of the staked-out dates in 2020 by Disney for a Marvel Studios project.
