Deadline reports that Shawn Levy’s upcoming science fiction action comedy Free Guy will have a Green Lantern reunion, Ryan Reynolds and Taika Waititi will share the screen in the film as they report he’s joined the cast along with Mulan’s Utkrash Ambudkar.
Taika Waititi and Utkarsh Ambudkar have joined the cast of 20th Century Fox and 21 Laps Entertainment’s action comedy Free Guy from director Shawn Levy.
Free Guy centers on a background character who realizes he’s living in a video game. With the help of an avatar named Molotov Girl, he tries to prevent the makers of the game from shutting down his world.
HN Entertainment previously confirmed that Free Guy’s crew would include cinematographer George Richmond (Rocketman, Tomb Raider, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman: The Golden Circle) and stunt coordinator Chris O’Hara (Venom, Red Sparrow, Hobbs & Shaw, Jurassic World, The Bourne Legacy).
Also, we confirmed that filming will be primarily taking place in Boston, Massachusetts.
Other includes Jodie Comer (Death on The Nile, Killing Eve) as Molotov Girl, Joe Keery (Stranger Things), and Lil Rey Howery (Get Out).
20th Century Fox has given Free Guy a prime summer spot next year on July 3rd, 2020.
