‘Stranger Things’ Actress Sadie Sink Joins Fox’s ‘Fear Street’ Trilogy – Hires Cinematographer and Production Designer

Director Leigh Janiak’s (Honeymoon) Fear Street trilogy for 20th Century Fox has added a Stranger Things alum to the film’s cast. Deadline reports that Sadie Sink has been added to the horror trilogy based on the R.L. Stine novels. Her role has yet to be disclosed as there are three movies which could make things a little tricky.

Sadie Sink is set to star in the second installment of 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment’s Fear Street trilogy, based on the novels by R.L. Stine. Leigh Janiak is helming all three films. Previously announced cast includes Kiana Madeira, Olivia Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr., Ashley Zukerman, Fred Hechinger, Julia Rehwald, and Jeremy Ford.

It’s looking like the first movie might be based on 1989’s Fear Street novel The New Girl, but we can’t confirm this.

The new girl is as pale as a ghost, blond, and eerily beautiful — and she seems to need him as much as he wants her. Cory Brooks hungers for Anna Corwin’s kisses drowns in her light blue eyes. He can’t get her out of his mind. He has been losing sleep, ditching his friends…and everyone has noticed. Then as suddenly as she came to Shadyside High, Anna disappears. To find a cure for his obsession, Cory must go to Anna’s house on Fear Street — no matter what the consequences. Anna may be the love of his life … but finding out her secret might mean his death.

HN Entertainment has learned the film’s production team will include production designer Scott Kuzio (Old Man and The Gun) and cinematographer Caleb Heyman (Vandal).

20th Century Fox has yet to give the three Fear Street films official release dates.
