A solo Black Widow movie has been in the works for over a decade and it’ll finally go into production this year starring Scarlett Johansson with director Cate Shortland working off a script penned by screenwriter Jac Schaeffer (Captain Marvel, Vision and Scarlet Witch).
HN Entertainment has been able to confirm that art director Jim Barr has joined the production team on Marvel’s Black Widow solo movie.
Jim’s credits include Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: Episode IX, and Doctor Strange. Other various art department roles include projects such as Guardians of The Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Inception, X-Men: First Class, and Thor: The Dark World. Jim also spent some time working on The Flash movie before moving on to Episode IX.
Barr would join Mission: Impossible – Fallout cinematographer Rob Hardy, Harry Potter/Skyfall costume designer Jany Temime, and possibly Red Sparrow production designer Maria Djurkovic.
We were the first to reveal that filming would be taking place in the UK.
Recent production information on Black Widow supports my previous reporting from last August at OmegaUnderground that it was expected to shoot this June in the United Kingdom (most likely London/Surrey).
Other filming locations may include Croatia and possibly even Miami, Florida.
Marvel Studios has yet to make an official announcement concerning Black Widow’s release date but it’s expected to drop on May 1st, 2020.
