Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Far From Home has already made an impressive $342.4 million globally and as of yesterday an estimated total of $123.9 million domestically. The film is heading towards a $175-180 million-plus debut over the opening 6 days.

This would suggest a rather large take of $400-500 million globally by Sunday and could mean that Spider-Man: Far From Home is on pace to become the highest grossing film in the franchise as the previous film have yet to cross $900 million. Far From Home might get a bit of a bump thanks to its proximity to the massive hit Avengers: Endgame.

Here are the unadjusted totals for the previous live-action Spider-Man installments.

  • 1. Spider-Man 3 (2007) – $890.9 million
  • 2. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) – $880.2 million
  • 3. Spider-Man (2002) – $821.7 million
  • 4. The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) – $757.9 million¬†
  • 5. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) – $709 million

In other box office news, Disney’s Aladdin has crossed $900 million globally and there is a slim chance that the Guy Ritchie directed flick could end up inching towards a billion dollars total. This would all depend on how much more it can make before The Lion King gobbles up screens.

Pixar’s Toy Story 4 has already made $547.1 million as it heads towards $600-700 million by next week. Another hit for Disney as they’re looking at a booming box office year.

The Lion King is expected to be the next summer box office juggernaut.
