Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts spoke with Fandango (beware the interview includes Avengers: Endgame spoilers) and revealed some interesting details about the film including Quentin Beck’s intentions and why Nick Fury is putting together a new team. Something else he added is who isn’t going to be in the film.
Despite Donald Glover’s Aaron Davis aka The Prowler, the uncle of Miles Morales appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming it doesn’t look like Miles is currently in the film. But, Watts certainly leaves the door open for him to be added in reshoots.
FANDANGO: Gotta ask about Miles Morales, who was hinted at in Homecoming. Does this new multiverse mean we get to meet Miles in this film?
WATTS: “There is no Miles in this film, or at least not yet. But who knows… we edit these films down to the last second, so you never know.”
Miles made huge waves recently with international audiences being the lead character of Sony’s animated flick Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, which earned the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film.
Also, it looks like Liz and her father Adrian Toomes won’t be coming back either.
FANDANGO: We don’t get to see Laura Harrier or Michael Keaton’s characters in the trailer. Are they in the film?
WATTS: “Keaton is not in the movie, and Laura is not in the movie.”
Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to be released on July 2nd.
