While fans have been trying to “Make Solo 2 Happen” with their homegrown campaign, Solo: A Star Wars Story screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan has taken to Twitter to give folks a bit of a reality check. Kasdan, when asked if Disney+ could be a venue for a sequel to Solo, said that Disney was unlikely looking to pursue another feature film or something for Disney+.
KASDAN: “Don’t think anyone’s pursuing a Solo sequel at the moment @KenobiJj I think a feature, at this point, would be a tough sell & the D+ Star Wars slate is really…pretty packed, all shows I’m lookin forward to. My work on Indy is long over but I’m excited there’s forward movement!”

There have been plenty of rumblings of Donald Glover getting some sort of Lando Calrissian project at some point, but that has never been confirmed by Lucasfilm.
He also reiterated his work on Indiana Jones 5 is over which had been aiming to shoot this year with director James Mangold (Logan, Ford v Ferrari) reportedly replacing Steven Spielberg before the coronavirus delayed 2020 productions for the foreseeable future.
Jonathan is currently working on a Willow sequel project for Disney+ and teased on Twitter that production offices opened back in January.
