While we haven’t heard much about Neill Blomkamp’s next film Inferno outside of the shoot in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Taylor Kitsch taking the lead role.
In Inferno, Taylor Kitsch plays a cop who is called to investigate a seemingly ordinary murder in the New Mexico desert. The arrival of the FBI confirms his suspicions that something bigger – perhaps extraterrestrial – is at play. The hunt for the killer puts him face-to-face with a humanoid beast who will stop at nothing to exterminate the one witness to the crime.
New production information posted on Daniel Ritchman‘s Patreon page reveals that they’re currently in negotiations with actress Sofia Boutella (Atomic Blonde, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Star Trek Beyond) to take the supporting role of Reika.
Taylor Kitsch will be playing the role of David Mitchell.
Filming could also begin as early as March 17th.
Blomkamp has been having a tough time finding his next project after leaving Alien 5, Greenland, and most recently RoboCop Returns.
Inferno hasn’t been given an official release date.
