Seth Rogen Announces His AMC Series ‘Preacher’ Ends After Season 4 and Begins Airing On July 4th

Preacher series co-creator and producer Seth Rogen has taken to Twitter and Instagram to announce that the fourth season of the mature comic book series will be the show’s final season thanking fans for their support. Also, revealing it’ll begin airing on AMC starting on August 4th.

“The fourth and final season of Preaching is coming. It’s been a wild ride. Thank you all.”

The AMC series is based on the beloved Garth Ennis comic book series Preacher and was co-created by Rogen and his partner Evan Goldberg. The directing duo is best known for helming comedy films such as End of The World and The Interview. They are also behind the other Garth Ennis series adaption The Boys starring Dredd’s Karl Urban, which recently got a season two pick-up from Amazon and begins filming this summer in Toronto.

You’ll get a chance to watch the final season of Preacher on AMC starting on August 4th.

Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a disillusioned preacher from a small Texas town, is possessed by an entity called Genesis which grants Jesse an amazing power. Together with his assassin ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga), and a hard-drinking Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), the trio begins an epic journey filled with insane action and gleefully bloody violence.
