While speaking with MTVNews, Marvel’s Kevin Feige was asked if they already know what the next incarnation of Avengers will be and it sounds like they have an idea of what that lineup could be.

MTV: We’re seeing a lot of passing of the batons of different characters to the next iterations. Kate Bishop, you mentioned the Hawkeye series. Could the next Avengers we see be Young Avengers?

Do you know what the next Avengers team looks like?

FEIGE: “Yes. And it will be a very different team than we’ve seen before. That was what Endgame was all about. It will be a very different incarnation of the team with some people you’ve already met and some people you haven’t met yet.”

Kevin didn’t directly speak to the Young Avengers aspect of MTV’s question, but there might be a reason behind that.

Considering how quickly these actors are growing-up it is going to make it hard for the franchise title Young Avengers to be terribly relevant and even more so that we should expect the ages of the new incarnation of Avengers to be varied. I also think with the finality of Avengers: Endgame suggests a new team name could be on the horizon.

Well, HN Entertainment reported a while back that The Ultimates are being considered at Marvel Studios and given that the MCU is based on the Ultimate Universe of the comics, it wouldn’t be surprising for them to use that name next.

Teyonah Parris was just announced as playing the adult version of Monica Rambeau in WandaVision, who just happens to be a ranking member of The Ultimates as Spectrum alongside T’Challa and Carol Danvers.

Various members of The Ultimates incarnations will already be kicking around in Phase 4 with Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau aka Spectrum (Teyonah Parris), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Thor (Chris Hemsworth/Natalie Portman), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner/Kate Bishop?), Captain America (Anthony Mackie), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Wasp (Evangeline Lily), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Black Widow (Florence Pugh), and Cassie Lang (Emma Fuhrmann).

Characters we haven’t seen such Ms. America, Blue Marvel, and Kitty Pryde could easily be introduced along the way.

I honestly don’t see why they wouldn’t just add Young Avengers to the Ultimates roster.

Either way Marvel decides to go, it’ll certainly be fun to see new characters and ones taking over mantles take their spots in a new roster.
