We might finally have our leads in the Little Shop of Horrors remake.
Our pals over at FullCircleCinema are reporting that Kingsman and Rocketman actor Taron Egerton is in talks/offered the lead role of Seymour. They point out that he already played the character in a Welsh performance back in 2007.
The role was previously played by Rick Moranis.
This was somewhat backed-up by Jeff Sneider on Twitter, who added that Oscar-nominee Scarlett Johansson (Jojo Rabbit, Black Widow) has been offered the lead role of Audrey.
ScarJo has the offer for Audrey, and as previously reported, Billy Porter eyed to voice Audrey II. https://t.co/BzwsgHEAVL

Both Scarlett and Taron have a singing background, Scarlett with a little-known singing career and Taron recently doing his own singing in the Elton John bio-pic Rocketman.
Lady Gaga had been once rumored for the Audrey role at one point.
Greg Berlanti, best known as a television producer will be making his feature film debut as the musical’s director.
Previously, HN Entertainment confirmed that Baby Driver and Last Night In Solo production designer Marcus Rowland would be working on the film’s look.
While we can’t confirm this at the moment, we believe that cinematographer George Richmond (Rocketman, Eddie The Eagle, Tomb Raider, Kingsman 1-2, Free Guy) will likely end up becoming the director of photography on the film. He’s currently attached for Marek Losey’s upcoming action flick The Night Climbers, which is only in development phases at the moment.
Production on Little Shop of Horrors is expected to take place sometime this year in the state of California after the production landed state tax incentives.
The 1986 version was directed by and co-starred Frank Oz, who originally voiced Audrey II. Pose’s Billy Porter is said to be attached for that role in this remake.
Meek flower shop assistant Seymour (Rick Moranis) pines for co-worker Audrey (Ellen Greene). During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey’s boyfriend, Orin (Steve Martin), to the plant after Orin’s accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant.
