It’s starting to look like the Thunderbolts may indeed be coming together sooner than previously expected and joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe via Disney+.
Charles Murphy has posted some set images and video from the set of The Falcon & The Winter Soldier leading him to speculate that the all-female villain group The Grapplers could be making their debut in the series.
What’s interesting with Charles’ theory is that Mimi Schwartz/Melissa Joan Gold aka Screaming Mimi, a member on The Grapplers team, eventually becomes a character called Songbird.
Songbird happens to be a member of both the Thunderbolts and the Masters of Evil, her inclusion alongside characters like Zemo and the rumored return of Batroc The Leaper could help support the rumblings that the Thunderbolts will indeed be introduced in the Disney+ series.
It’s worth noting that Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier also happens to be a member of the Thunderbolts as well, and we could be seeing a varied lineup that most people are used to.
Other characters on that team include Thunderbolt Ross as Red Hulk, William Hurt is already in the MCU as Ross.
The Falcon & The Winter Soldier is set to begin airing on Disney+ starting in August.
