Ridley Scott’s Sci-Fi Series ‘Raised By Wolves’ Starring Travis Fimmel Moves To HBO Max

Ridley Scott’s television debut series Raised By Wolves starring Travis Fimmel Vikings) will be moving from TNT to WarnerMedia’s new streaming series HBO Max according to Deadline.

Raised by Wolves, a serialized sci-fi series from Ridley Scott, will premiere on the direct-to-consumer platform HBO Max. The announcement was made during the WarnerMedia Day investor presentation Tuesday afternoon.

The science fiction series centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.

The rest of the cast consists of Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Winta McGrath, Niamh Algar, Matias Varela, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Jordan Loughran, Aasiya Shah, and Ivy Wong.

Ridley Scott is best known for his work on the Alien franchise with the original film, Prometheus, and Alien: Covenant. He also made the iconic Blade Runner and was behind its sequel Blade Runner 2049.

This isn’t the only high-profile series coming to HBO Max as Michael Mann (Heat, Miami Vice) will direct episodes of the Japan-set Toyko Vice and Denis Villeneuve is developing a Dune spinoff series titled Dune: The Sisterhood.

HBO Max will launch in May 2020 and will cost $14.99 per month.
