Review Scoring

At HN Entertainment, we value how any piece of entertainment is reviewed. Reviewing something for our audience isn’t simply about assigning a score, it’s about letting our audience know if something is worth their time and money. The main objective of our review is to not only critique various aspects of the media but also to let you know if it’s enjoyable. While our reviews contain a graphic with the score at the bottom, we recommend that everyone still reads the entire review. If you wonder how our reviews are organized, hopefully the information below sheds some light:

Review Categories

When reviewing Performance, we consider the following:
• Acting with either real or CGI characters
• If animated, how does the actor immerse themselves into the character?

• Would you like to watch a sequel or continuation of the story, universe, etc?
• Did you enjoy watching the film or TV series?

The HNE Review Scale

A masterpiece. These are the perfect examples of their respective categories and likely to influence future media for years to come. If a film or television show receives this grade it requires two HNE critic recommendations to prevent obvious bias.

A solid example pertaining to a category yet it could be better. It’s more “good” than “bad” but it’s hard to praise it without tempering expectations.
