HN Entertainment has been able to confirm that Terminator: Dark Fate production designer Sonja Klaus has joined the production team of Reed Morano’s (The Handmaid’s Tale, The Rhythm Section) series adaptation of The Power for Amazon Prime Video.

Teen girls the world over suddenly develop the power to electrocute people at will, and evolves from a tingle in teenagers’ collarbones to a complete reversal of the power balance of the world.

The Power is based on a novel written by Naomi Alderman, who will also work on the series.

Sonja has previously worked on projects such as Taboo, Prometheus, and X-Men: First Class.

Director Reed Morano is best known for directing episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale and her upcoming feature The Rhythm Section releases on January 31st, 2020.

Blake Lively stars as Stephanie Patrick, an ordinary woman on a path of self-destruction after her family is tragically killed in a plane crash. When Stephanie discovers that the crash was not an accident, she enters a dark, complex world to seek revenge on those responsible and find her own redemption.

The Power will be 10-episodes, filming locations are expected to include the United States (once was set for a shoot in Atlanta, Georgia) and the United Kingdom.

I have to assume that it will drop on Amazon Prime Video sometime in 2020.
