It was recently revealed by Bond 25 director Cary Fukunaga to TheDailyMail that we’ll see the return of Lea Seydoux as Dr. Madeline Swann, Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny. The final installment in the Daniel Craig era of the James Bond franchise is set to begin filming in March.
Variety is now adding that Rami Malek is the latest actor in the mix to play the film’s villain, but could have a scheduling conflict with the final season of Mr. Robot. Malek recently played Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
According to insiders, Rami Malek was being eyed for the villain role, but his schedule on the last season of “Mr. Robot,” which shoots from March through July, makes it unlikely that he will be able to take the gig, even if Eon offered him the part.
They also reaffirm previous rumblings that James Bond will be working alongside a new female MI6 Agent that is being cast at the moment.
…Eon is looking for two other actresses — one would play an MI6 agent who works with Bond and another a mystery woman…
Rumors had suggested that this new role would be a an MI6 Agent that recently had been given 00 status and is being mentored by Bond.
The untitled Bond 25 is set for release on February 14th, 2020.
