In August, I first reported at OmegaUnderground that Marvel Studios was expected to start filming a Phase 4 film starting in June in the United Kingdom. I had mentioned in my reporting that I was leaning towards Black Widow being that project and just a couple of days ago mentioning on HN Entertainment that Black Widow’s filming was heading to the UK.
Omega Underground has learned that Marvel Studios is looking to begin filming a Phase Four movie next June in the United Kingdom. The three major candidates are Black Widow, Doctor Strange 2 (has yet to be announced by either trades or Marvel), and The Eternals (has screenwriters currently penning a script). We are ruling-out this being Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. I’m leaning towards Black Widow because of how far along the project is currently as they’ve locked-in director Cate Shortland and there is word casting is now on the horizon.
HN Entertainment has now learned that Black Widow is expected to shoot in the United Kingdom.
ProductionWeekly seemingly has now listed that Black Widow could begin filming in June in the United Kingdom, reaffirming my previous reporting.
A summer production gives Black Widow plenty of wiggle-room to fill-out the many brand new roles that had been revealed in recent casting breakdowns.
Black Widow is without a release date but could easily be given that May 1st, 2020 spot.
