With most U.S. theatres closed across the country due to coronavirus, it leaves studios in a hard place as their newer films are essentially being pulled and audiences are relying on home entertainment during social distancing, self-isolation, and recent state/city lockdowns.
There is news about a recent Disney family flick coming to home release very soon which should be good news for parents looking to entertain their children during this difficult time.
Disney has taken to Twitter to announce that their recent Pixar film Onward will be on VOD later today and then heading to their streaming service Disney+ on April 3rd.

This comes as a string of newer films being released on VOD early such as The Invisible Man, Bloodshot, The Hunt, Birds of Prey, and The Gentlemen.
