Charles Murphy (Murphy’s Law Podcast) first revealed that Ant-Man 3 was in development at Marvel Studios as HN Entertainment backed-up the information saying it was indeed happening via our own Marvel sources.
Well, TheHollywoodReporter is also chiming in and adding that director Peyton Reed will be back as they hope to get filming started by late 2020 or early 2021 for a release sometime in 2022.
The Ant-Man corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue to be Peyton Reed’s Place. The director, who helmed 2015’s Ant-Man and 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, has signed on to helm a third Ant-Man movie, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Paul Rudd is expected to return as Scott Lang, the heist-hearting hero with the power of petiteness in the new installment. It would be Rudd’s fifth time out as the character, barring any other surprise appearances.
Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily are expected to reprise the roles of Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne.
Details are scarce but Charles was claiming a rumor recently that the film could include an introduced to the Young Avengers.
It wouldn’t be shocking if we saw more exploration of the Quantum Realm along with Cassie becoming a superhero herself taking on the alter-ego of Stature.
There had also been a claim of shooting again in Atlanta, Georgia but that has yet to be confirmed.
The next Marvel Studios film to go into production will be Shang-Chi & The Legend of The Ten Rings under the working title of Steamboat with primary filming to take place at Fox Studios Australia in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
The follow-up to Ant-Man and the Wasp has yet to get an official title.
