Although details are scarce regarding the plot, the report adds sources tell them the story will be a continuation of the original Ghostbusters that focuses on Coon and her family.
Jason Reitman, son of the original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman, is set to helm the latest installment.
Production will begin next month in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Also, Sigourney Weaver told ParadeMagazine recently that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and herself would be reprising their roles in the new film that would directly connect the original two movies.
Ghostbusters 2020 is expected to hit theaters, you guessed it, next summer on July 10th, 2020.
