In the wake of Paramount’s Transformers soft-reboot Bumblebee, the studio is moving forward with the next phase of as they’ve hired a pair of screenwriters.

TheHollywoodReporter reveals that the studio has brought-on James Vanderbilt (Amazing Spider-Man, Amazing Spider-Man 2, Zodiac) and Joby Harold (Army of The Dead, John Wick: Chapter 2, King Arthur: The Legend of The Sword) to tackle multiple scripts on new Transformer films.

Paramount and Hasbro are rebuilding Transformers, hiring not one but two writers to pen scripts for the multi-billion dollar franchise.

Joby Harold, who co-wrote the upcoming Zack Snyder zombie movie, Army of the Dead, and James Vanderbilt, perhaps best known for writing David Fincher’s Zodiac, have been tapped to pen separate scripts as the companies pursue concurrent development.

Details are scarce, but there is a good chance one of these two projects could be a sequel to Bumblebee or that Cybertron film that has been teased for a while now.
