Back in January, HN Entertainment first revealed the title of Edgar Wright’s next film will be Last Night In Soho as it was later announced that actress Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, The Witch, New Mutants) would be playing a lead role.
Editing is known to be an important element in an Edgar Wright movie.
We have now learned that editor Paul Machliss is expected to reunite with Edgar Wright for the psychological horror film. Paul has been working with Wright for a while now on films such as Scott Pilgrim vs The World, The World’s End, and most recently Baby Driver (earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Editing). His other credits include Guy Ritchie’s Bush (formerly known as Toff Guys) and Joe Cornish’s The Kid That Would Be King.
Previously, HN Entertainment confirmed that Baby Driver production designer Marcus Rowland would be working on the film and there was a good chance that Black Mirror: Bandersnatch cinematographer Jake Polonsky could be on the film as well.
Plot details are scarce at the moment, but Edgar Wright told Empire it would be similar to movies such as Don’t Look Now and Repulsion. Wright co-wrote the script with screenwriter Krysty Wilson-Cairns (Penny Dreadful), who also recently worked with Sam Mendes on the script for his upcoming World War I movie 1917 for Amblin Entertainment.
Our pals over at DiscussingFilm revealed that it could begin filming this May 20th in London.

A release date has yet to be made official for Last Night In Soho but coming out 2020 is a good bet to make.
