It’s been now confirmed that Jurassic World cast members Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Jake Johnson (The New Girl, The Mummy) will be reprising their roles in Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World 3.
The news of their return came from trades like TheHollywoodReporter.
Jake Johnson and Omar Sy are returning to the land of the dinosaurs.
The actors have signed on to reprise their roles from Jurassic World for the latest installment of the rampaging prehistoric superlizards movie series being made by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.
Director Colin Trevorrow then confirmed the reporting via Twitter.

The third film will now focus on the fallout of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as dinosaurs have been brought to the mainland after a volcano eruption destroyed it and during the events of the film were released into the wild.
The rest of the cast so far consists of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, DeWanda Wise, and Mamoudou Athie.
Trevorrow will be back as director after helming the first film and more recently exiting Star Wars: Episode IX back when it was called Star Wars: Duel of The Fates, the director confirming concept art that leaked online was connected to his original script.
HN Entertainment first revealed the film’s working title would be Arcadia and confirmed that production would be taking place at Pinewood Studios UK in England.
There is also a portion of filming that will begin in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada later this month, with shooting taking place February 24th to March 6th.
We can confirm the film’s production team will include art director Jim Barr (Black Widow, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Avengers: Infinity Wars, Avengers: Endgame) and visual effects supervisor David Vickery (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Fast & Furious 6).
It will be certainly interesting to see what angle they’ll attempt with this upcoming installment and if whatever they’ll do will help usher in future movies that place the franchise in a new directions instead of sort remaking the original three movies over and over.
The last film introduced human clones and that could lead to some interesting things if the technology has been out there for a long enough time.
Universal Pictures has given Jurassic World 3 a very solid summer release date of June 11th, 2021.
It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.
When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission.
Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.
