EON has released an official synopsis for yet-to-be-titled Bond 25 as posted by Empire. This would possibly see a retired James Bond enjoying himself in Jamaica (producers call Bond’s second home) with Madeleine Swann played by French actress Lea Seydoux.
Although something happens to pull him back to MI6.
“Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica,” it reads. “His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”
They also made the big casting announcement at GoldenEye Villa, where author Ian Fleming wrote the James Bond novel.
The impressive cast includes Daniel Craig (in his expected final outing as 007), Lea Seydoux, Rami Malek (Mr. Robot, The Pacific, Bohemian Rapsody), Jeffrey Wright (Westworld), Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel), Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049), Ben Whishaw, Billy Magnussen, Rory Kinnear, David Dencik, and Dali Benssalah.
It’ll be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga from a script penned by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
They also confirmed that the locales will include London, Pinewood Studios UK, Norway, and Italy.
Bond 25 has been set for release on April 8th, 2020.
