Today, it was revealed by EON the main cast of Bond 25 (a title won’t be revealed today) and it included a returning cast member we haven’t seen in a while that is CIA Agent Felix Leiter played by Jefferey Wright. Recent Best Actor Oscar-winner Rami Malek was also confirmed, who is said to be playing the film’s main villain. Other new additions to the franchise include Blade Runner 2049 actress Ana De Armas and Captain Marvel standout, Lashana Lynch. Lynch is expected to be playing an MI6 Agent.

The casting announcements were primarily made on the official Bond Twitter account and during a live stream.

A couple of other new additions also include Billy Magnussen, David Dencik, and Dali Benssalah. Previously confirmed returners include Lea Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Rory Kinnear.

The producers during the event taking place live at the GoldenEye Villa in Jamaica, that the film would start out in Jamacia as it’s said to be James Bond’s second home, a nod to where author Ian Fleming wrote the novels. Italy and Norway have been also confirmed as locales, the latter has already had its scenes shot.

EON also confirmed that screenwriters Scott Z. Burns and Phoebe Waller-Bridge worked on the script that was previously worked on by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. Scott and Phoebe had been previously revealed via reports before the announcement.

Bond 25 is set for release on April 8th, 2020.
