A string of local Norwegian news outlets thought that the Bond 25 production returned to Norway, as they had spotted a whole bunch of Pinewood trucks in the city of Sæbø. One of the outlets Dagbladet was able to connect that this wasn’t Bond but actually Marvel’s Black Widow, as the movie trucks had Blue Bayou labels all over them with a stylized Russian font. HN has pointed out previously that Blue Bayou would be working title of Black Widow during the filming.

We had confirmed that Pinewood Studios UK would be the primary stage location for the Marvel Studios film and is also expected to spend some time shooting in Hungary as well (doubled as Russia in Red Sparrow).

Cate Shortland will be directing from a script penned by Jac Schaeffer with a cast that includes Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Weisz, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and O-T Fagbenle.

Black Widow still hasn’t been officially announced by Marvel Studios, but it’s expected to land the release date of May 1st, 2020. I’m curious when Marvel will actually admit the movie is filming and reveal who the cast is playing in the film.

Hi Christopher,
just a little correction for you. It was the article on my blog, Out Of Dave’s Head, that connected the dots between Blue Bayou and Black Widow, and my personal photo of the signs at the production base at Sæbø (which were picked up by the press), rather than Dagbladet.
