Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus might be working together again in the near future.
During a video segment for Wired, Death Stranding actor Norman Reedus revealed how Guillermo del Toro connected him with video game guru Hideo Kojima and briefly mentions being in talks to reunite with Hideo after the success of Death Stranding.
REEDUS: “I did the video game because Guillermo del Toro originally called him and said ‘Hey, a guy named Hideo Kojima is going to call you, just say yes’.”
“And then I met Hideo at Comic-Con in San Diego, he came out back when we were going to do a different game [Silent Hills]. He showed me what he was working on and I was just blown away because the guy is a super-genius and then I became friends with him, started working with him and we kept going.”
“We did Death Stranding which is a huge hit and we’re in talks to do other stuff.”
What that “other stuff” might be is unclear at the moment officially.
Some fans are speculating online that the next Kojima Productions project could be a Silent Hill game, potentially harking back to Silent Hills a game that got scrapped in 2015 which would have starred Norman Reedus with Hideo and Guillermo del Toro co-directing the game.
